The NSW Women’s Gathering Junee 2009 committee has set a date for the event in 2009. The Junee Rural Women’s Gathering 2009 will be held on the weekend of Friday 18- Sunday 20 September 2009. This takes into consideration our rural areas being in flower, temperatures starting to warm and local commitment dates of the Illabo Camp Draft, and both the Illabo and Junee Agricultural Shows.

$1500 was received from the Rural Women’s Network to assist Junee in our promotional material for the 2008 event in Coonamble, and to assist a few members of the committee to attend the event to have a hands-on understanding of how the weekend works. Of course it would have been favourable for as many committee members as possible to attend but costs and availability needed to be considered.

Meetings will be held on the 4th Monday of the month at 5.30pm at Council’s committee meeting room. The next meetings will be June, August and October.
