The Junee library is a branch of the Riverina Regional Library Service. Other branches are in Adelong, Ariah Park, Batlow, Cootamundra, Culcairn, Gundagai, Henty, Talbingo, Temora, Tumut and Wagga Wagga. A mobile library serves many district towns including Ardlethan, Coolamon, Lockhart, Uranquinty, Cookardinia and Tarcutta.

  • A conference room is available for public use. It will hold about 12 people and measures around 3 x 6 metres.

    Services to Homebound Residents!

    Junee Library provides a home delivery and pickup service for people who have a legitimate barrier to visiting the library. Residents who have difficulty visiting the Library may be eligible for the Homebound Services.

    Who is eligible for this service?

    • Junee residents who have been confined to their homes and are unable through illness, frailty, or physical disability to independently visit the library.

    Does it cost anything?

    • No. The Homebound Service is free for those who qualify.

    How do I apply for the Homebound Library Service?

    • Registration for the Homebound Library Service may be made over the telephone if already a member. Non-members of the library will need to make arrangements with the library staff to join.

    How does the Homebound Library Service work?

    • To help Library Staff choose the most appropriate material a reader profile with your preferences will be compiled.
    • Deliveries are made by a member of the library team at a mutually acceptable time.

    How many books & for how long can they be borrowed from the Homebound Service?

    • A Homebound library member may borrow up to 20 items at a time, for up to 2 months. Loan extensions may be arranged if a reservation has not been placed on the material. Unavailable items can be reserved or borrowed from other libraries through the inter-library loans system. Replacement costs may be incurred for any materials not returned to the library.

    What services are available for Homebound Library members?

    • The Homebound Library Service will deliver regular and large print books, magazines, talking books, videocassettes, DVDs and CDs. Please contact your library if you would like to request specific items or information.
