Open 7 days a week. We are closed most public holidays. Please ring the Centre on 6924 4680 to confirm opening hours prior to attendance, especially if you are travelling some distance.


Operates Wednesday to Sunday in January and Saturday to Sunday in February.
$5 per person per 2 hour session, open 12 to 2 pm.

About The Centre

Junee Junction Recreation and Aquatic Centre was officially opened on 15 February 2003.

The Centre is a state of the art facility catering for all citizens of Junee Shire.

The 50m outdoor swimming pool is a result of a major refurbishment of the original 1938 vintage Olympic pool. In cooler months the 50m pool is transformed into a 25m indoor heated swimming pool. The use of a removable boom, and winter curtain allows the water body to be split in two with the indoor section heated for use in cooler weather.

The multipurpose stadium has two full-size courts and spectator seating. Many sports can be played on the courts including netball, basketball, tennis, badminton, volleyball and soccer. The gymnasium is home to state of the art weight training and cardio equipment.

A variety of group fitness classes are also held at the Centre.



Group Exercise Classes

Using weights of your choice, exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls performed to great music and inspired by awesome instructors will help you achieve the results you came for - and fast!


This is the Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength, and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses will bring the body into a state of harmony and balance.

Worried you're not flexible enough? Look for the options that will lead you through a rewarding BODYBALANCE™ experience.


BODYSTEP™ is the energising step workout that makes you feel uplifted and alive! Using a height adjustable step and simple movements, on over and around the step, you get huge motivation from sing-a-long music and approachable instructurs.Cardio blocks push fat burning systems into high gear followed by muscle conditioning tracks that shape and tone your body.

Don't want to use a step? No problem, our trained and experienced BODYSTEP™ instructors will show you all the options that allow anyone to participate in this fun and results-oriented class.


A 50 minute indoor cycling class based on outdoor riding. You ride to inspirational music over the equivalent of 20-25km, controlling the intensity of your workout with a resistance dial and pedal speed. Take on the terrain with your inspiring coach who leads the pack through hills, flats, mountain peaks, speed work and interval training.

Discover your athlete within - sweat and burn to reach your endorphin high!

The above are LES MILLS™ licensed programs and as such, a new class is produced every 3 months with new music and choreography.

Body Blast

A basic aerobics class for all levels of fitness with a range of high to low options to get you back into shape or ready for summer.


This is a medium to high intensity cardio-based boxing circuit using bags and basic pad work. It's designed to get the heart pumping for great results. For all levels of fitness.

Deep Water Aqua

Using an aquatic weight belt, this is a fantastic workout for increasing fitness levels, muscle tone and strength.

One hour in the water with our instructors will help you to achieve your desired results and have fun at the same time.


Gentle Water Exercise

Fun, safe and effective class for all our social butterflies who want to increase their fitness and mobility.

Suitable for all ages and especially designed for those who find land-based exercise a problem Gentle Water is for all ages and abilities.


Aqua Action

Keep cool and work out at the same time in shallow water (chest deep). This is a cardio and conditioning workout to get the heart rate up whilst toning the body.


A low to moderate exercise program managed by the Heart Foundation, suitable for anyone wo hasn't done any exercise in a while. You can start gently in a friendly atmosphere and exercise at your own pace.

Community Exercise

This class will help you increase your balance, strength, flexibility and fitness all while having fun. This very basic program has been designed for older and less active adults, however anyone can join in.

Family Fitness Fun

This is an activity for the whole family filled with fun games that can be enjoyed by toddlers to teens and parents or grandparents.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is excellent for increasing balance and flexibility, fitness and fun. It is specifically designed for people with chronic disease, however, is suitable for everyone as it is easy and gentle.

Tai Chi and Community Exercise are initiatives of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District.
