Proposed Rate Increases through a Special Rate Variation Application (SRV)
Executive Summary
Junee Shire Council is proposing to seek a Special Rate Variation in the 2013-2014 financial year. The total rate increase proposed is 10% which includes the announced rate peg limit of 3.4% in 2013-2014. So an additional 6.6% in rates is being sought so that the Council can continue its road resealing and road renewal program.
A newsletter will be sent out in mid-February to all Junee residents and ratepayers to further outline the reasons why the Council needs to seek this Special Rate Variation. This newsletter will include a response form for you to complete and return so that the Council can gauge community support or otherwise for the 10% increase in rates for 2013-2014.

Livingjunee is a website created and managed by Junee Community Centre.
The site is available free of charge to all community groups. It was developed so those groups can have a website that advertises who they are, when they meet, what activities or services they provide. In many cases, small organisations or groups don’t have the time or resources to develop their own website. Even if they do have the time, their return on exposure in the worldwideweb environment is limited because it stands alone disconnected to other like minded organisations.
Contact the Junee Community Centre on (02) 6924 2666if you would like your organisation to have a website on the Livingjunee website.

If you own something that you don’t need anymore, don’t throw it away, give it away to someone who wants it. Use the Yours to Take website to advertise the item and link with someone else that wants it.
It’s simple and it’s free.
How does it work?
Almost every service on this site requires a user account.
You can either advertise an item that you are willing to give away for 60 days free of charge. Or you can browse through the various items that have been published here to acquire something that another person is willing to give away
At no time is there money involved in the transaction. You can't ask for money for the advertised item and you shouldn't pay anything when you acquire an item. The transport of an advertised item is to be arranged between the two parties to the transaction.
