The Junee Rural Women’s Gathering 2009 was held on the weekend of Friday 18- Sunday 20 September 2009 and was hugely successful thanks to the Junee community who embraced the event and the hard-working ladies of the Committee without whom the event would not have made it to the finish line as successfully as it did.

A strong message was heard throughout the Women's Gatering - stand up and count yourself as a woman with a voice.
Rural Women's Network State Advisory Committee Chair, Nerida Cullen, passed on her message of female empowerment to the Gathering congregation at its opening ceremony on Saturday morning, urging women to get inolved in whatever they can.

This was my first gathering and what a wonderful weekend it proved to be.
Men accompanying their partners agreed that Junee's selection of activities kept them busy and entertained and well looked after.
