The article incorrectly states that Council approved the proposed sheep feedlot.
Council confirms that the matter was deferred, not approved.
Councillors resolved to defer consideration of the development application to allow further consideration of issues and questions raised during the meeting.
As a result, no development consent has been granted for the proposal.
The matter remains under consideration and will be subject to further assessment and reporting before being returned to Council for determination at a future meeting.
As the application remains undetermined, it would be inappropriate for Council to comment further on the merits of the proposal at this time.
