Junee Regenerative Landcare (JRL) supports resident led initiatives for positive environmental and social outcomes. This includes capacity building, sharing of information and providing opportunities for residents with similar interests to connect as well as project work on people’s key passions.

THE ISSUES

Reverse tree decline
Tackle dryland salinity-Lowering water table, Perennial pasture establishment
Address soil acidity
Control soil erosion
Public environmental education (Night seminars on wildllife etc.)
On farm sustainability- Best practice grazing and cropping
Improve biodiversity (Provide wildlife corridors, fox baiting, conservation and extension of existing remnant vegetation, direct seeding, adding understorey to existing tree plots, nest boxes to overcome a lack of established trees).
