Council does not erect or maintain monuments within its cemeteries. Appropriately licensed and qualified Monumental Stonemasons or contractors are engaged by family members at their own expense.

Prior to carrying out any work in Council’s cemeteries, all contractors are required to contact Council and provide evidence of:

  • Company License
  • OH&S white cards
  • Public Liability Insurance (Certificate of Currency)
  • Workers Compensation Insurance (Certificate of Currency)
  • Motor Vehicle Insurance (for on-site work vehicle)

For major works, contractors must also lodge an application setting out the proposed location and types of works, including dimensions, depth of footings, etc.

Please contact Council’s offices on (02) 6924 8100 to enquire about fees involved.
