Information Technology - Business Support

Casual Position

Junee Shire Council is seeking a person with Information Technology skills to support the effective delivery of its Information Technology software and hardware.

The duties include:

  • Facilitate ongoing maintenance and upgrades to IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Overseeing the IT Help Desk.
  • Ensuring the smooth functioning of applications and databases including full suite of Microsoft Office Programs, Sharepoint, corporate intranet and webpages as well as other corporate software products.
  • Assist with building and replacing hardware parts and machines throughout the Council and install and configure hardware and software.

The position will provide employment for up to 30 hours a week and would ideally suit a local person with appropriate skills and experience in the field of Information Technology.

Qualifications and Experience:  While having qualifications is desirable, it is not essential for the role however, applicants will need to demonstrate a genuine interest or skills in the field of Information Technology.

Works Operators - Major Plant, Medium Plant and Labourer

POSITION:

Exciting opportunities have arisen for hardworking individuals to work with their Roads Maintenance and Construction Team on a permanent full-time basis (76 hours, 9-day fortnight).

If you can drive heavy and/or medium plant or want a job working outdoors as a general labourer with the opportunity to be trained in the operation of heavy or medium plant these are the jobs for you!

The positions present an excellent opportunity to pursue a career in the civil construction industry in the local
area.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The positions would ideally suit a person who is prepared to work outdoors, have good fitness and health, be willing to learn, follow direction, show initiative and responsibility, and have a genuine interest in the construction industry.

A person with both labouring experience and/or experience in the operation of construction plant or similar
equipment, are encouraged to apply.

CONDITIONS:

Employment conditions are as per the Local Government (State) Award 2017 and the Junee Shire Council Salary System.

Applicants must be either an Australian Citizen or have the right to work in Australia. A complete medical fitness and functional assessment will be required to be undertaken by the successful applicant.
