Junee Shire Council is seeking a dynamic people-oriented Information Technology (IT) Manager to lead the IT Department and ensure continuous improvement of all technological resources.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will work with and lead the IT Department to oversee the management of software, hardware and networking across the organisation.
The IT Manager will also play a key role in ensuring the organisation’s IT systems comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, including data privacy and cybersecurity laws. This includes conducting regular audits, risk assessments and implementing protocols to mitigate potential IT risks. The IT Manager will work closely with other departments to ensure that organisational continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place in the event of a system failure or security breach.
Managing relationships with third-party vendors, including negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met, will be a critical responsibility of the IT Manager. They will oversee the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources while maintaining high standards of service delivery. This will involve forecasting IT expenditures, justifying investments in new technology and ensuring that all projects are completed within budget and time restraints.
About You
As an accomplished IT Manager with experience in previous technology roles, you have proven track record of leading teams and driving success in dynamic environments. Your expertise includes managing MS Windows desktop operating systems and supporting hardware.
In addition to your technical capabilities, you are meticulous in your approach to administrative tasks with a focus on accurate record-keeping and attention to detail. Energetic and teams-driven, you consistently contribute to the growth and success of your department, ensuring high standards of performance and operational excellence.
